. . . I am fairly certain that given a Cape and a nice Tiara, I could save the world!

Fashion Friday

Happy Friday everyone! I am so ready for the day to be over already! That way I can offically start my vacation! I will be in the middle of the ocean next week so there will be no blogging. I am very sad about that! But I will be getting to see my honey this weekend before the cruise, YAY!!

Now on to Project Runway Round Up! The challenge was to create a look using only materials from a hardware store. Here are my picks!

This one is not my favorite. I do not care for the look but it amazes me that this was made intirely out of trash bags, including the belt! I think the designer use the materials wonderfully even if I do not love the style. This was actually the winner of the challenge.

This design was made from mesh for wall patching. I love the color I love that it is femine but also has the hardware belt. The judges did not like that Anthony made it so soft and he was in the bottom 3. I do not think he deserved to be there at all!

This dress is made totally of sandpaper! I love the fan on the chest! I also like that it kept with the look of the hard material but also looked flirty!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Talk to you all next Monday!

Beautiful

I have loved Jessica Simpson since the Newlywed days! I know that she was ditsy at times, but I liked her. The dumb blonde thing seemed to be more her "thing" then the truth. Even though she did not always stick by her Christian raising she is a Christian and I admired that in her. Since her divorce she has had a hard time. She dated guys that were jerks (John Mayer) and struggled with her weight. I have felt for her! I secretly wish that her and Nick could work out their issues and get back together (I am not a fan of Vanessa Milano).

She was married young and I don't think she knew herself very well so when she no longer had Nick she had a hard time figuring out who she was. Jessica is hosting a new reality show on MTV called the Price of Beauty that premiers March 15th. She traveled all over the world and learned what makes someone beautiful in a different culture. Yesterday Oprah had Jessica on to talk about the latest from John Mayers bedroom confessions about her, to her "Mom Jeans" pictures, and her new show.

I thought Jess did a great job. She seemed so much more mature and confident even when talking about those embarrassing situations. I applaud her for not accepting John's apology and moving on with it! She also addressed her size, which is a size 4. And how she went from two extremes. She was too small when she played Daisy Duke and then was called a cow in her "Mom Jeans". Jess wanted to make this show to help everyone who feels as though they don't fit in. I will definitely be watching it!

I think she looks great and I hope she will continue to get things straight for herself again (and maybe make up with Nick, a girl can hope right?).

Wishful Wednesday Olympics

'I wish' .... I could have gone to the 2010 Winter Olympics to see one event, and it would have been the men's half-pipe!

This is actually true for me. I did not go to the Olympics but this is the only event I watched. I feel unpatriotic to admit this but I am not a huge fan of the Winter Olympics. I do enjoy watching some figure skating. And I did watch the half pipe because of Shaun White. (Bunny on the other hand is a huge Olympic fan. She kept me up to date with her medal count on her IPhone.) Shaun is an amazing athlete! And he is so good at this event! He did far better than any other competitor. They say that he gets a crazy amount of air!

I much rather watch the Summer Olympics, however! I mean come on you have gymnastics, which I think I like because I was a gymnast and a cheerleader, and Micheal Phelps! haha! I am so ready for the 2012 Olympics!!

If you want to play along on Wednesdays head over to Kelsey's blog and join the fun!

It's The Roll Call

Does anyone remember that song on the radio station K97? It was very popular when I was in high school. Haha!

I just realized as I looked over some of my recent blogs that I mention "my girls" a lot. However, I always just expect you all to know them. So I wanted to introduce you to the amazing women that I have the honor of walking through life with!

This is Bunny also referred to at times as The Bunny. Why the name? Well her last name is Hopper, like a bunny. We met as sorority sisters in college. It amazes us all the time that we did not meet before since our families had gone to the same church for about 3 years when we were in elementary school. She is the best! She works at a little store in Arlington called Celeste. If you have never been there you should go, it is fabulous!

This gorgeous girl is Sarah, also know as boots, if the time is right. Why boots? Well she has a pair of red cowboy boots inked on her. We also are not really sure why she picked that but it is so her. My family and hers have known each other forever!

This picture is the best way to describe her! haha! (I believe she is singing to Journey)

This is Janet, we refer to her as CPP (cutie pie precious). Janet is amazing! She is the best running buddy! And Janet always has great hair! I adore her!

Lauren is my friend and sorority sister. She will be getting married this June and I am a bridesmaid. There will be many blog posts from her wedding festivities I am sure!

Lauren and her fiance Chris.

Anna is not only my sorority sister she is my Lil Sis! She is also the 2009 Miss Collierville and 2010 Miss Bristol Lakes. She will be competeing in Miss Tennessee in June! Doesn't she look like a life size Barbie!

Last but not least Candice. We work together and she is my only friend on here that has a blog. Candice is the one that got me hooked on blogging. She is also the only friend of mine that has a passion for Twilight and again she is the one who got me hooked on it! haha! I like to call her my Twilight bestie. We have a resevered date night when Eclipse comes out (it is our favorite in the series)!!
Hope now you can now know a little bit more about the girls I talk about often!
Happy Tuesday!!

Just Making It Through The Week

Only 5 days to go!! This weekend I will be on my way to some sun and much needed relaxation! I am spending the weekend in Orlando. This is the Princess Half Marathon that I was suppose to run with the girls but since I am still sporting my super cool knee brace I am out of the race. However, I will still be there to cheer on my girls and play in the park!

I will also get to see this handsome man! I have not seen him in 5 weeks so I am very excited to just even look at him. haha! I have missed him with all my heart!

On Monday we will be leaving on our annual girls cruise! This year we decided to go to the Bahamas. We are planning on laying in the sun and swimming with the Sea Lions. And I believe I see a hot stone massage in my future!

I have been so busy during the week lately that I packed all the clothes last night. Now I will just need to add in the things it takes for me to get ready the morning I leave. I do still need to get my nails done this week sometime. I am really excited that I can use a cute spring/summer color! It is offically time to put away the dark nail colors and I could not be more excited! I think the color I am going to use is Party in my Cabana!

Hurry up weekend! I can't wait!!

Fashion Friday

Since there was not a new Project Runway last night I can't give you my top picks. :(

So I have decide that you all must know my new fashion obsession, YELLOW!! I don't know if it because I am so anxious for summer and warm weather or if I just love it? It is bright and when you wear yellow you can't help but to be in a good mood!

Here are some of my recent yellow findings that I want!

And this one is a nod to the late Alexander McQueen. It is amazing!

This isn't yellow but I have become obsessed with it. I saw The Blind Side and loved it. I also fell in love with the watch that Sandra Bullock wore throughout the movie. It is a Toy Watch and isn't is gorgeous!?!

Have a great weekend ya'll!!

Sorry You Are Not Southern!

This morning in our office we somehow got on the topic of movies. This is not odd there are about 5 women that are all close to each other and we always seem to get off topic. As we were talking about movies one of the girls mentioned that she had never seen Steel Magnolias!! WHAT!?!?!?! She is born and raised southern so how she missed this important movie is beyond me. So we have begun to make a list of movies that she must see or we are kicking her out and she has to live in Illinois.

Here are the must see southern movies:

Now this one is not as popular but I love it!! If you have not seen it you must go and rent it this weekend!
I think my favorite thing about all of these "southern" movies is that it was my amazing Sissy that introduced these to me! I love you Sissy!

And these are just good movies that everyone needs to see:

If ya'll have any other movies you think we should add to her list let me know!
