Just Call Me AUNT LOLLY!!!

Yes I am going to be an aunt!!

I blogged about it a little yesterday but today's blog is all about it!!

We found out on Friday night. My Sissy and Will were coming in town for him to attend a seminar. They walked in carrying their luggage and a basket. My Sissy hands me the basket and says "I brought you some fruit". I was thinking okay that's weird, but the strangest thing was that there was a pumpkin in the middle of the fruit. So now I am thinking that she is losing her mind. As I take the basket I see that there is a note saying "Our little Pumpkin will be here in October!!". Of course I was screaming and jumping since they have been trying for about a year!!

They wore pink and blue.

The first picture 5 weeks and 1 day.

Sissy found out a week before that she was pregnant when she went for her weekly check up at the fertility clinic. She was so excited, of course!! She went and bought a ton of pink and blue balloons and in each one she put a reason why she loved Will. Then when he came home from work he found her in Pumpkin's room with the balloons and a positive pregnancy test. She even had the video camera to capture his reaction!!

Next week on Valentine's Day they will be able to hear that sweet little heartbeat for the first time!! I have already told them I fully expect a phone call so I can hear it too!!! So it is full on baby fever over here. I have already begun shopping ... but isn't that what an Aunt does best ... spoil them rotten?!

She is 5 weeks and 5 days so right now Pumpkin is the size of an apple seed. It's sweet little heart is dividing into the four chambers and is beginning to beat!!

Oh it just makes my heart melt!!

14 Day-Valentine Challenge- Day 6 & SOME GREAT NEWS!!!!

Before we get to the Valentines Day Challenge I have the BEST news ever!!!

I'M GOING TO BE AN AUNT!!!!!!!!!

My sweet little pumpkin will be here October 7th! I can't wait I am beyond excited!! My Sissy and Brother in law have been working hard at this for about a year so we have been anxiously waiting for this wonderful news! There will be tons of updates the next 8 months!!

Day 6: Gift ideas

I skipped Day 5, which was "What do you do to keep it romantic with your Sweetie", since that didn't really apply to me ... but gifts definitely applies to me!!

The only thing I really really want from Cupid is this

I love hot tea!! It all started about 10 years ago when my family started touring antebellum homes, we love all things southern for us it was all the "pretties" for Daddy it was all about the war. We found one that had a tea room so we ate lunch there. After that my Mom, Sister and I were hooked. We began finding tea rooms all over the place. We have gotten to where we go to the ones that serve a true English Tea not just a luncheon type place. We have tried and tasted many different flavors of hot and ice tea. We love it!! My Sissy found this Hot Tea maker and it is so easy to use plus you can put loose tea leaves in it and not have to worry with putting them in a tea bag. Only problem is I can't find it anywhere or if I can its like $70 for a used one!!! So if you happen to find one please let me know!!

Another gift I would love is this

I have started taking Pure Barre classes and I'm obessed! Its a great workout for toning up. The process is to use a ballet bar, light weights, and small movements to really challenge your body. I swear you will feel it the next day. After 10 classes you should see a total difference in your body. This packet comes with 6 dvds, Pure Barre logo ball, Pure Barre fitness ring and the double tubing. The price isn't bad when you think about what you get, $129.95.

What are you wanting for Valentine's Day?

14 Day-Valentine Challenge- Day 4

Day 4: Favorite romantic restaurant

I have several favorite restaurants but my top two are:

1. The Majestic Grill

Originally built in 1913 as the Majestic No. 1, a silent picture house that entertained Memphians for three decades, the restaurant gives diners a glimpse of the heady Hollywood days of ol’. From the beautifully restored Beaux Arts décor to expertly prepared classic cocktails to warm, gracious service to Chef/Owner Patrick Reilly’s award wining, yet remarkably comfortable food, you find yourself feeling transported to another time. Add to that the largest private movie screen in the city showing silent films & classic movies and you’re center stage in an atmosphere that reclaims the cinematic glory of the dawn of the silver screen.

2. Andrew Michael's Italian Kitchen

Andrew and Michael began talking about opening a restaurant in 1994. They had an internship at Chez Philippe under Chef Jose Guitierrez. After 18 months they decided to further their education by traveling across Italy and France to the food capitol of the world. After returning to America the friends opened the doors to their restaurant on October 31, 2008.

If you live in Memphis or you are ever here I highly recommend both of these places!!

What are your picks? If you want to play along with this challenge click on Moske Monkey Business!

Other good news ... Sarah is coming into town for her birthday anniversary, we only celebrate the anniversary of her 25th birthday not her actual birthday!! And we are going where else? The Majestic!! Yummm!!

14 Day-Valentine Challenge- Day 3

Day 3: How did you meet your sweetie and where did you go on your first date?

Today's topic is a little ummmmm ... complicated for me. I don't really have a "sweetie". However, there is a possible potential "sweetie". Since it's still new and we are just getting to know each other we will just refer to him as PPS, possible potential sweetie, instead of posting his name or real initial ;)

We attend the same church but we actually met through work. His company does some business with mine and I was the account manager on their project. First time we met was on the day we were having a Halloween celebration/potluck at the office so PPS came to our office for me to train him on the system and I was dressed up in my cheerleading uniform from high school. Talk about an embarrassing first impression!! From there we had a good work relationship but things turned flirty around Thanksgiving and we have since been out a few times. Shortly after Christmas I got a new position working in our Regulatory/Compliance department so I am no longer the account manager, which is probably for the best haha!

Our first date was about a week before Christmas. We went to dinner at The Melting Pot, which is delicious, and then we saw Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. PPS was adorable and asked to hold my hand during the movie. I just ate it up with a spoon that he asked, I thought it was precious! The date ended very well with him asking to kiss me goodnight and during our kiss it began to snow. All in all not a bad date ... it's possible ;)

How did you met your sweetie or possible potential sweetie? If you want to play along go check out the upcoming topics at Moske Monkey Business!

14 Day-Valentine Challenge- Day 2

Day 2: Favorite Valentine's Candy
I love candy! Seriously I have a sweet tooth problem. My top picks for Valentine's are:
1. Conversation Hearts

I am sure everyone picks these but I just had to! Whenever I think of Valentine's I immediately think of the Converstation Hearts. I don't really like they way they taste so I always by the SweeTarts version but they just aren't as cute.

2. Heart Suckers

I have no idea who makes these suckers and I couldn't find the right picture of them but they are the red ones that come in that long strip and they have the white heart on them (or at Christmas its Santa). I am a huge sucker for suckers!

3. Heart Box of Chocolate

Every year my Daddy gets me a heart shaped box of chocolate. The problem with those boxes is that you really only like probably about a third of the chocolates in the box and you either have to punch a hole in everyone to see what is in it and if its one of the good ones or bad ones. Or your other option is to eat each one but be close enough to the garbage can so you can spit out the bad ones when you get to them. haha!

So my daddy started getting the Dove Chocolate Truffles and that way I love each chocolate in the box!

What is your favorite Valentine's Candy? If you want to play along with the 14 Day Valentine Challenge check out Moske Monkey Business!!

An extra happy note Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow!! So its an early Spring for us ... thank goodness!!

14 Day-Valentine Challenge- Day 1

Day 1: Favorite movies (chick-flicks, love stories, etc.)

It's no secret that I love chick-flicks. If it doesn't have some kissing in it then I'm not watching it!! ha! I also can not get enough of old movies. They just don't make movies like that anymore. What I love the most about old movies is that the girls are always pursued and the men are so chivalrous.

But when it comes to Valentines Day I have two movies that I have to watch every year no matter what!

An Affair to Remember- Love Cary Grant and this movie will just make you cry. You just know that they are suppose to be together and you just want them to get over their stupid pride!

Sleepless in Seattle- Of course it goes with An Affair to Remember, they reference the movie several times. I love how in this movie he just talks about how much he loves his wife and when your listening to him on the radio it just melts your heart!!

What are your favorite chick-flicks? If you want to play along head on over to Moske Monkey Business!
