. . . I am fairly certain that given a Cape and a nice Tiara, I could save the world!

14 Day-Valentine Challenge- Day 4

Day 4: Favorite romantic restaurant

I have several favorite restaurants but my top two are:

1. The Majestic Grill

Originally built in 1913 as the Majestic No. 1, a silent picture house that entertained Memphians for three decades, the restaurant gives diners a glimpse of the heady Hollywood days of ol’. From the beautifully restored Beaux Arts décor to expertly prepared classic cocktails to warm, gracious service to Chef/Owner Patrick Reilly’s award wining, yet remarkably comfortable food, you find yourself feeling transported to another time. Add to that the largest private movie screen in the city showing silent films & classic movies and you’re center stage in an atmosphere that reclaims the cinematic glory of the dawn of the silver screen.

2. Andrew Michael's Italian Kitchen

Andrew and Michael began talking about opening a restaurant in 1994. They had an internship at Chez Philippe under Chef Jose Guitierrez. After 18 months they decided to further their education by traveling across Italy and France to the food capitol of the world. After returning to America the friends opened the doors to their restaurant on October 31, 2008.

If you live in Memphis or you are ever here I highly recommend both of these places!!

Other good news ... Sarah is coming into town for her birthday anniversary, we only celebrate the anniversary of her 25th birthday not her actual birthday!! And we are going where else? The Majestic!! Yummm!!

14 Day-Valentine Challenge- Day 3

Day 3: How did you meet your sweetie and where did you go on your first date?

Today's topic is a little ummmmm ... complicated for me. I don't really have a "sweetie". However, there is a possible potential "sweetie". Since it's still new and we are just getting to know each other we will just refer to him as PPS, possible potential sweetie, instead of posting his name or real initial ;)

We attend the same church but we actually met through work. His company does some business with mine and I was the account manager on their project. First time we met was on the day we were having a Halloween celebration/potluck at the office so PPS came to our office for me to train him on the system and I was dressed up in my cheerleading uniform from high school. Talk about an embarrassing first impression!! From there we had a good work relationship but things turned flirty around Thanksgiving and we have since been out a few times. Shortly after Christmas I got a new position working in our Regulatory/Compliance department so I am no longer the account manager, which is probably for the best haha!

Our first date was about a week before Christmas. We went to dinner at The Melting Pot, which is delicious, and then we saw Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. PPS was adorable and asked to hold my hand during the movie. I just ate it up with a spoon that he asked, I thought it was precious! The date ended very well with him asking to kiss me goodnight and during our kiss it began to snow. All in all not a bad date ... it's possible ;)

14 Day-Valentine Challenge- Day 2

Day 2: Favorite Valentine's Candy
I love candy! Seriously I have a sweet tooth problem. My top picks for Valentine's are:
1. Conversation Hearts

I am sure everyone picks these but I just had to! Whenever I think of Valentine's I immediately think of the Converstation Hearts. I don't really like they way they taste so I always by the SweeTarts version but they just aren't as cute.

2. Heart Suckers

I have no idea who makes these suckers and I couldn't find the right picture of them but they are the red ones that come in that long strip and they have the white heart on them (or at Christmas its Santa). I am a huge sucker for suckers!

3. Heart Box of Chocolate

Every year my Daddy gets me a heart shaped box of chocolate. The problem with those boxes is that you really only like probably about a third of the chocolates in the box and you either have to punch a hole in everyone to see what is in it and if its one of the good ones or bad ones. Or your other option is to eat each one but be close enough to the garbage can so you can spit out the bad ones when you get to them. haha!

So my daddy started getting the Dove Chocolate Truffles and that way I love each chocolate in the box!

What is your favorite Valentine's Candy? If you want to play along with the 14 Day Valentine Challenge check out Moske Monkey Business!!

An extra happy note Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow!! So its an early Spring for us ... thank goodness!!

14 Day-Valentine Challenge- Day 1

Day 1: Favorite movies (chick-flicks, love stories, etc.)

It's no secret that I love chick-flicks. If it doesn't have some kissing in it then I'm not watching it!! ha! I also can not get enough of old movies. They just don't make movies like that anymore. What I love the most about old movies is that the girls are always pursued and the men are so chivalrous.

But when it comes to Valentines Day I have two movies that I have to watch every year no matter what!

An Affair to Remember- Love Cary Grant and this movie will just make you cry. You just know that they are suppose to be together and you just want them to get over their stupid pride!

Sleepless in Seattle- Of course it goes with An Affair to Remember, they reference the movie several times. I love how in this movie he just talks about how much he loves his wife and when your listening to him on the radio it just melts your heart!!

What are your favorite chick-flicks? If you want to play along head on over to Moske Monkey Business!

I'm Back to Normal Clothes Again!

Yes this is exciting news. I have been feeling awful the last few days. Maybe its because here in the wonderful south we go from a weekend of snow to a weekend of 60 degrees, seriously I'm not making this up. So the last few days I have been pumping my body fully of Advil cold & sinus and vitamin water. Looks like it is paying off because I finally am starting to feel better! Meaning I am in normal clothes again!!!

I work at a place that doesn't have a strict dress code. Okay we don't have any kind of dress code so I have been in t-shirts a jeans for the past three days. This has concerned my co-workers that I am on my death bed. I love clothes, I love to look cute and I save my t-shirts for the gym. You can only imagine the looks I got a work when it had been three days! I didn't let myself completely go I did manage to wear my make-up everyday and do my hair :)

Since I am feeling like myself again and not just working on auto pilot this means that my little week of hiatus from training is over. I have to jump back on the program, the Nashville Half Marathon is quickly approaching. I went last night to sweat out the last of my sickness at Pure Barre. I have blogged about it before and how much I am looking forward to using it as my cross training on my training schedule. I seemed to have forgotten how difficult it is :( I was hurting last night. But this morning I feel great, a little sore but the good kind where it will wear off soon but you know that you got a great work out!

So this weekend will be spent catching up on my training and enjoy the 58, yes that right, degree weather we are suppose to have. Part of me thinks I might need to lay out this weekend and get a little sun before our next snow storm that's coming ha!!

I'm Still a Teeny Bopper

Yes this is true. I am 25 but I still love the high school teen movies and I think Justin Bieber is precious. If I was 12 I would have a little crush on him too!

This morning at work we were talking about all the things we loved when we were younger. I was a huge boy band groupie! It all started with New Kids on the Block. I was a Joey fan and my older sister was in love with Jordan. We had the sleepwear, lunchboxes, all the cassette tapes (ha remember those), and even the dolls. From there I jumped on the Backstreet Boys wagon. I know I am going to upset all the NSYNC fans but don't worry I liked them too its just that I was die hard Backstreet Boys.

I have been hearing for a while now about how these two groups are going to be touring together this summer. With all the talk about them this morning I had to check and see if they would be coming anywhere near me ... and they are! They will be in Nashville June 21st. I have already texted my Sissy to inform her to get her leg warmers and side ponytail ready because we are going!

I am so excited and not even the least bit ashamed! Am I the only one?
