Let's Try This Again!

How excited is everyone about being back at work? I know I am not looking forward to this week, it is just going to feel like forever.

I got to spend a lot of time with the Bunny this weekend. Every year Ingram Hill plays a "Thanksgiving Bash" out in Tunica. So Bunny and I decided to go Wednesday night. Only to find when we got there that unlike the last three years the concert was not the night before Thanksgiving but the night after. So we turned around and drove the 45 mins back to Memphis.

We weren't going to miss them so we went back Friday night. And it was totally worth it! I love Ingram Hill, and not just because they are Memphis boys! I think that they should be way bigger than they are.

They just released a new CD. And here is my favorite song off of it!
Us at the Concert

Bunny got a bunny watch in her happy meal on our way. She sported it the whole night.

Isn't he a doll!

Happy full work week! ha!

12 Days of Christams: Day 3: Most meaningful/best gift you've received

Day 3: Most meaningful/best gift you've received

The best gift I ever received was when I was 8 years old. I had asked Santa for a Teacher Barbie. She was so cool. Her dress had numbers and letters on it and she came with two students that sat in their desks and a chalkboard. It was the complete set!

I remember hearing at school how the factory that made Barbies clothes had burnt down about a month before Christmas. But I wasn't concerned at all because Santa had is own workshop. However, my Momma was freaking out. I had failed to mention to her that Teacher Barbie was number one on my list until the fire at the factory had happened. So she frantically tried to find a store that still had a Teacher Barbie. Luckily a friend of hers had bought two for some reason and Mom bought one from her.

So Christmas morning as I came down the stairs the first thing I saw was my Teacher Barbie from Santa!!

What was your most meaningful gift?

12 Days of Christmas: Day 1 & Day 2

Yes is it Christmas time!! After all the Countdown to 25 Days of Christmas is on ABC Family!! I saw everyone participating in Molly and Aly's 12 Days of Christmas and I had to join in!!

Day 1 Christmas Traditions:

My family's first Christmas tradition starts on Thanksgiving. That night we all get snuggled on the couch and watch White Christmas to kick off the season. We begin to decorate that weekend both inside and out. We usually don't do lights but we have a big cross and manger that we put in the front yard with a spot light on it.

Then the first weekend in December we go as a family, including the dog, and pick out our Christmas tree! Only real ones for us! Christmas Eve is spent with my Daddy's family and then Christmas morning is just us.

We wake up early and open our "Santa Presents", yes he still shows up at our house. Then we eat a big breakfast while listening to Christmas music. After breakfast we finish presents and of course that wears you out so you have to take a nap! haha!

That afternoon it is time to clean up and we begin to take everything down. Because me worst pet peeve is people who leave up Christmas for too long!

Day 2 Black Friday:

I am not much for Black Friday. Honestly I am afraid of being trampled to death! haha! Really though it is so early and we usually have had a big night the night before. Plus I don't feel like fighting everyone.

I do however love Cyber Monday!!

Which one do you prefer?

Gobble Til You Wobble

Happy Monday!! I am sure most of you will have a three day week, which makes Monday not so bad.

This weekend I went to Cookeville to see my Sissy and Brother in Law. We had so much fun! She did an amazing job. Everything was delicious and so pretty.

Sissy had set out her Thanksgiving China for all of us to eat on and her table was beautiful!

We also watched a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, I mean you just have to! And of course we ended the night with Bing Crosby, and my favorite dancer ever Vera Ellen, in White Christmas. I love that movie! So I am officially in Christmas mode now.

I can't wait to see them again in four weeks!!

I Don't Want to See That Either

Funny Friday . . .
Again this video is from the Bunny. It is the Family Feud show!

I am leaving at noon today to go have Thanksgiving with my Sissy and Brother in Law in Cookeville!

There is nothing better than it being Friday unless it is a Friday that I get to leave early! I cannot wait to see them. We will be having a big Thanksgiving Lunch with leftovers for dinner. After dinner we will of course be watching White Christmas, a Brown family tradition, to prepare us for Christmas time! At some point during the day we will also watch a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.

Happy Friday everyone!

I Need Some Turkey!

Only one week until Turkey Day (gooble gooble).

I am in need of a day off! Im not sure if its the weather now that is it getting cold or if its the fact that it is dark when I leave work but I feel like my days are just dragging.

There is a countdown on my wall right now and that helps a little. Bunny also has sent me a little video to pep me up. She loves her some Justin Timberlake, but who doesn't I mean he is from Memphis! And he is always so good on SNL!

So I thought I would share it with you in case you need a little something to get you to Friday!!

Top 2 Tuesday

Top 2 Favorite Jobs you've had

I honestly haven't had that many jobs. So I only picked one!

My favorite job was working at St. Mary's Episcopal School. I worked there all during college running their aftercare program for middle school. This was the job that really helped me decide what I really wanted to pursue as a career. I am now going back to school to get my masters in teaching. I will be certified to teach grades 4-8! I am so excited and cannot wait to be done with school next spring!

Praying for Daddy

Today is a little nerve racking for me!

Right now my Daddy is at an outpatient clinic having a heart cath. About two weeks ago he was having some pain in his chest, which would not be a huge issue but seven years ago he had quadruple bypass surgery. So anytime he has a pain we all begin to worry. Well his cardiologist found a little blockage and today they are doing a heart cath to see how blocked it is.

We are praying that it is below 60%. If it is then they can treat it with medicine if not they might have to put a stint in. Hopefully no bypass is necessary!!

So if everyone could say a prayer for my Daddy today I would really appreciate it! And for my Momma too since she is having to go through this all day with him!

Top 2 Tuesday . . . Thankful!

Top 2 things your thankful for!

1. My friends and family!

I have the best friends and family! They are always there for me. I take them for granted sometimes but they are amazing. Yesterday I got a sweet comment on my blog about how lucky I am to have a great friend to run with me. And I am very lucky to have friends like that and family that comes to watch and support me all the time!

2. My job!

I am so suprised that this makes the list. If you have read my blog lately then you know that work has been an uphill struggle for the past 2 months. But we moved into a new office building and I am praying everyday that God will give me the strength to make it to 5:00. So I come in and I work and I try to just not get caught up in everything else going on. And I am blessed to have a job at all!! I am also blessed because I am going back to school and having this job I am able to save up money and pay for school without loans! That in itself is worth it for me!

What Top 2 things are you thankful for? Hop over to The Undomestic Momma and play along!

True Blue Weekend

Happy Monday! I am going into this week with the hopes that it will be amazing, fingers crossed!

Friday night Bunny and I ran in our last 5K before the St. Jude Half Marathon. It was the True Blue 5K. It was freezing cold since it was 7 at night. But it was so exciting! They had the band playing and the clock tower rang the fight song the whole time as we ran through the campus! It was such a fun run! Plus it didn't hurt that Bunny and I had a sweet surprise at the race.

We finished the race by running through the Tiger head that the players run through at football games. We also managed to finish with a pretty good time of 29:08 minutes!

Now we only have four weeks until St. Jude!! And we are so ready!!

Okay side note as I am typing this and my friend in the next cubbie just fell out of her chair!! We are not sure how that happend. hahhaha!!

I know I am jumping all around from topic to topic but it is just that type of day. This week offically kicked off Tigers Basketball! I have some super cute note pads that says "Our Coach is Hotter than Your Coach!". Well I found a t-shirt that says the same thing and has the Memphis logo on it! I think I need it for the new season.
