Fashion Friday

Since there was not a new Project Runway last night I can't give you my top picks. :(

So I have decide that you all must know my new fashion obsession, YELLOW!! I don't know if it because I am so anxious for summer and warm weather or if I just love it? It is bright and when you wear yellow you can't help but to be in a good mood!

Here are some of my recent yellow findings that I want!

And this one is a nod to the late Alexander McQueen. It is amazing!

This isn't yellow but I have become obsessed with it. I saw The Blind Side and loved it. I also fell in love with the watch that Sandra Bullock wore throughout the movie. It is a Toy Watch and isn't is gorgeous!?!

Have a great weekend ya'll!!

Sorry You Are Not Southern!

This morning in our office we somehow got on the topic of movies. This is not odd there are about 5 women that are all close to each other and we always seem to get off topic. As we were talking about movies one of the girls mentioned that she had never seen Steel Magnolias!! WHAT!?!?!?! She is born and raised southern so how she missed this important movie is beyond me. So we have begun to make a list of movies that she must see or we are kicking her out and she has to live in Illinois.

Here are the must see southern movies:

Now this one is not as popular but I love it!! If you have not seen it you must go and rent it this weekend!
I think my favorite thing about all of these "southern" movies is that it was my amazing Sissy that introduced these to me! I love you Sissy!

And these are just good movies that everyone needs to see:

If ya'll have any other movies you think we should add to her list let me know!

Wishful Wednesday . . . Novel

'I wish' .... I could play a character's role in a book and it would be Allie from The Notebook!

I am so in love with all Nicholas Sparks books, but The Notebook is one of my favorites! The love story between Allie and Noah is amazing. I would love to be her and have someone love you that much to wait for you through everything and never give up. I am such a cliche girl! I am not the biggest fan of the movie because it had them fight too much and I thought that was stupid. But the book is the best!
Allie is strong and and has to stand up for herself so much and I admire that. She also knew what her heart wanted and she held to it. I reread this book at least two times a year! It is so good!

If you want to play Wishful Wednesday go over to Kelsey's blog!

No More Decisions

Monday nights are usually a hard decision time for me. Since I still have the brace on my knee and I am not allowed to work out for at least another 3 weeks, I have gotten into the CBS Monday night line up! I love all these shows!! And they are bringing back Rules of Engagement, which I also love!

However, I adore One Tree Hill! It comes on Monday night also! This proposed a dilemma. I decided to watch the CBS shows and on Tuesday during lunch I watch One Tree Hill online. It works perfectly. But today as I was enjoying my PB&J and watching Tree Hill, yes I am a big dork and I am okay with it, it tells me at the end that the show that it is taking a hiatus until April 24th!! WHAT!!! That is 9 weeks, yes I counted! What will I do with out One Tree Hill for that long? And then when it does come back it will only be four episodes! I am not ready for the season to be over yet!

Lazy Weekend!

This weekend was wonderful! I had a awful week at work so the weekend was full on nothing and just recuperating.

I did get my self very organized since I left my house very little.

Friday night I just watched an old movie and feel asleep it was blissful!

Saturday I made copies of my passport, license and travel documents for the parents. Just in case they don't let me back in the country after the cruise, woo-hoo 11 days til we leave! I made sure that the hotel was booked and began to plan out what clothes I am taking. There was no packing yet, that is next weekends task! And thought a lot about how I can't wait to be in the Bahamas on a cruise ship with no distractions!
I did venture out to get dinner with one fourth of the amazing friends in my life! The Bunny!

Sunday was church! I went to a new Sunday School class which I really enjoyed! The lesson this week was on deciding if you were going to follow God's will or not, even though that by saying yes he might take you through the wilderness. Once home I did my Bible study and fixed my IPOD. It was having some issues, okay it was mostly user error. But it is working now and ready for the cruise itself!

I am looking forward to this week being much smoother and hopefully fast! I am ready for the weekend already so I can pack and get going on some relaxation time!

Romper Room

This week has been insanely busy! I feel awful that I have neglected you all! But I knew I would not be okay if I did not review my favorites from Project Runway last night. The challenge was to create a child's look and then they decided to throw in a trick and have the designers create a "mom" look too.

Here are my favs from least to most!

I love how sweet it is and the Mom looks amazing too! I just don't think their was much risk to it!

I love the girls dress I wish the designer had left the dress straight but it is still cute. The Mom looks trendy and sexy!

The girls dress is cute with leggings and I love the ruffles at the bottom. Both pieces look good great on their own!

This is my favorite! I love the jacket on the mom for starters! It is amazing! The pants are cute and edgy with the hardware on them. The little girl is cute. I like the skirt with the hardware on it and the black a white hoodie. It has edge to it too and it still girlie with the pink!

I hope you all have a great weekend! I will be relaxing after this week!

I Need Some Sunshine!!

I need a little light in my life right now! Yesterday was probably the worst day ever at work! The majority was spent "helping" others with their job which lead me to neglect mine. I literally did not get up from my desk all day! Then at the end of the day I had a client that wanted to very loudly share her concerns with me.

Once I got home I did not want anyone to talk to me! I took a scalding hot shower until I was wrinkled. As God and I had our nightly talk, yes talk he listens and responds to me, I asked him for a better day today. His response was "pray for the client". I wanted to laugh, yea right she was mean and awful; the last thing I wanted to do was think about her. But He told me again. So did pray for her last night. And as soon as I did I immediately felt so much better. As I prayed I realized that I have no idea what is or was going on in her life. She could be going through something very hard and just got carried away.

Today has been much better so far. I had a lot to get done this morning, leftovers from yesterdays neglect. As began to feel better I noticed the sun coming up! Hello friend! I have missed you! We have been covered in snow lately with tempertures around the 20s so the sun is a very much welcomed sight. Maybe Spring is just around the corner! It is amazing how some sunlight can perk you right up!

In my excitement of the changing weather I thought I would post some pictures of what this means!
Dresses, Dresses, & more cute Dresses!

Cute shoes and pedicures!

Cruise Time!! Only 3 weeks away!

Hope you are all getting ready for the warmer weather! I know I am!!

My Secret Admirer

Well my Valentine's Day did not go as planned. Bobby was flying in Friday night and then having to go back to Florida on Sunday morning.

However, once he arrived in Charlotte for his connecting flight it began to snow. He had left his cell phone at the office so he was calling me on pay phones and people's cell phones. After about 5 flight time changes he gets notice that all planes are grounded due to the snow. I get a phone call from him once he gets in the hotel for the night letting me know that he was not going to be able to make it. We were both very upset! He tried everything he could to get to Memphis (including jumping up yelling "I'm going to Memphis tonight! Whose with me?" and actually getting four other people to run with him to the rent a car place! But that closed about 30 mins before they got there).

He was able to fly out to Orlando the next morning to go home but every flight to Memphis was booked. So what did I do for Valentine's day? Well I talked to Bobby about 30 times Saturday and did a little retail therapy. Dillard's was having a sale on BCBG dresses, which are my favorite. So I bought four for $220, and that's a steal they usually cost that for one! I also snagged four new Ralph Lauren shirts for $125 and a new Ralph Lauren swimsuit, had to pay full price for that.

Here is one of the dresses!

When I got home from shopping I did have two dozen beautiful red roses and a sweet card waiting for me. As you can tell by the note these were ordered before the cancelled flight. haha! Very sweet though! I also got a very sweet call from Bobby's mom just checking on me to make sure I was okay!

Then I went to Huey's with Bunny and to the Cheese Cake Corner! YUMMM! If you are in Memphis go there immediately!

Sunday was Church followed by a Julia Roberts Marathon! I caught Pretty Woman on Lifetime and then decided that I needed to watch My Best Friends Wedding too! If it wasn't so late when it was over I would have watched Something to Talk About too!! As I watched My Best Friends Wedding I started thinking why did they not make a sequel to it? They could have done one where it is her wedding. I would have loved to see that, and you know its not too late for it (wink wink)!! I also wondered why do we not see more of Mr. Dermot Mulroney? He is such a cutie! I vote for more movies with him in them!

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Ready For A Close Up

Last night on Project Runway the designers had to create a look for Hedi to wear on the cover of Marie Claire. The challenge with this was that it has to have a strong color and still look amazing once it is cropped to fit the magazine. Here are my favorites from least to most.
The detail on this dress was great! It would still look good after being cropped but the color was not the best! It would not stand out in a magazine rack.
The red color is wonderful. It has some detail with the ribbons but it would not be too busy with the story lines being written over it. I also love that when the designer was being critiqued he just pulled out scissors and cut off what they didn't like.

This would look great on a cover. It has bold colors and different textures! Plus it has a stinkin cute peek-a-boo back!

This dress is the best!! I would go out and buy it today if I could. It is the perfect color and alot of volume but it also has a slimming affect.

Happy Friday!! Hope you all enjoy your weekend!!
