. . . I am fairly certain that given a Cape and a nice Tiara, I could save the world!

Fashion Friday!

Finally Friday! It is going to be a yucky rainy weekend, of course because it is Music Fest this weekend in Memphis. But with all the rain I should get some good reading time in and maybe a nap or two. Isn't that what rainy weekends are for?

Now for Fashion Friday. . . I decided to give tribute to my favorite dress designer, BCBG!!! If you know me at all then you know my obsession with this brand. They have cute clothes but it's their dresses that I have to have! The only problem is that on average a dress cost about $350. So I try to find them on sale! Here are some of the ones I am wanting now.

I don't know where I would wear this formal dress to but I love it!

I also really want this skirt!

If you want to check out their website click here.

Now it's Daddy update time.

Thank you so much for all your prayers! Daddy was released from the hospital and his collapsed lung is working wonderfully! We also got the biopsy report back and it is all clear!!!! We are so excited! So thank you again! God is so good all the time!

This is us being silly last year in Destin!

Hope you all have a perfect weekend! And if you in Memphis and going to Music Fest then have fun and try to stay dry! Hahaha!

Every Morning!

As of lately I have been fighting with my hair every morning! According to a new article I read in one of my style magazines I have been parting my hair on the wrong side. Everyone has one eye that is slightly smaller than the other one and you need to part your hair on the side of your smaller eye so that it opens up your face more.

I have been doing this all week and my hair has been awful! It is not use to parting on that side so it falls in my face and I have to keep pushing back which after about 20 times it starts to look rough. When it is just styled it looks great and I agree that it needs to be parted that way but it just is not cooperating throughout the day.
This is me with my hair parted on the wrong side. I can't believe that I am pointing out my weird squinting eye! See it needs to be parted on the other side so that eye will appear more open.

I also have been thinking about bangs. I know bangs are hard! There is a lot of upkeep. I am told a lot that I look like these women.

And they totally rock the bangs look! But I'm not so sure about me. I have tried bangs before back in my sophomore year of college, 6 years ago. It wasn't the best but I wonder if I could style it better now and if that would make a difference.

Also I love the color of Carrie and Reese's hair! But I have never dyed my hair and I really want to try not to. I hate when peoples hair looks unnatural or really dry. I know lots of people who color their hair and it looks great but I also know others that is doesn't. So it looks like there is going to be a lot of time in the sun this summer.

Please help! What do ya'll think?

Wishful Wednesday . . .

'I wish' .... I could go back and spend one day working at a job from my youth, and it would be St. Mary's School for Girls!!

I worked at St. Mary's throughout college. I worked at the aftercare program, which worked great for my school schedule, and during their summer program. I adored these little girls! With it being an all girls school it was very girlie. Every theme day was a princess or fairy day! How could you not love that?
Girls could enroll at the age of three for Pre Kindergarden, so by the time I left I had seen many of these girls grow up. Acutally this weekend when I saw the ballet one of the girls I had in my class was dancing!

Several of the girls have now found me on facebook, they are getting to the age to have facebook?! But I love when I see them out and about. They still run over to me just like when they were in the first grade! It is really sweet! So I would want to go back and work there for a day!

What job would you like to work from your youth? Play along with Wishful Wednesday at Kelsey's Blog.

Halfway to the weekend!

Rhett and Link

Have any of ya'll heard about these guys? They are so funny!!

This weekend my Sissy introduced me to these videos from this duo!

For some reason I can not get the youtubes to embed into the blog but here are the links! This one is my favorite!! It is the Taco Bell song. Do you remember a while back where everyone was doing those drive thru raps? Well this is their version!!

Sissy told me that she had no idea what cornhole was?! How has she ever tailgated, gone to a frat house or just had a BBQ in the south without cornhole?! It is still amazing to me. So we found Rhett and Link's Cornhole Song and educated her on the subject!

The best part about Rhett and Link is their story! Check out their website and read it! The Background Story is too funny!

Now for a Daddy update! First off thank you all so much for your prayers! Daddy had his biopsy yesterday morning but during it his lung collapsed. So they admitted him into the hospital and got his lung back up. He has a tube in it right now sucking out the extra air. This morning they did an x-ray and an EKG, since he has had heart issues. They think he will be able to go home today!! But we will not have the results of the biopsy until Thursday, so please keep praying that it comes back clear!

I spent a couple of hours yesterday with him and some more again last night!! I told him we needed a picture so I could blog about it and make him famous! haha! He was in some pain so he is not the happiest camper in this picture! hahahaha!!

Stop All That Static . . .

This is a phrase my Sister and I have hear alot! When we were little we would have slumber parties in each others rooms. We would of course begin to giggle causing my Daddy to come in there and tell us to "Stop all that static!". This would send us into another round of uncontrollable laughter because who says that! haha! He began to say that to us even more when he realized how funny it was to us.

As we grew up we had less and less slumber parties together but when we would go on vacation we would be in the same room and all the sudden we become 6 and 10 again! This weekend was no exception!
Sissy got here Friday night and we had dinner together after work. That night I had gotten her a little "I'm so happy to spend the weekend with you" present. She loves Designing women so I got her the first season. We stayed up way too late watching it!

This clip was one that we watched and that always reminds me of my Sissy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV86kehwkc0

Saturday we got up and went with Momma to hear Beth Moore speak! It was really really good! 300,000 women from all over the country watched and worshipped together!

That night we went to eat at the Majestic. If you have never been you need to go and get the grilled cheese, I know grilled cheese sounds funny but it is so good and its not the traditional grilled cheese. After dinner we saw Sleeping Beauty the ballet. I have season tickets and this was the last performance this season. It was beautiful!! And for dessert after the show we went to the Cheesecake Corner, another must if you have not experienced it! Sissy was so happy when she found out that they ship cheesecakes, so she can get them in Cookeville!

Sunday was Church followed by some shopping at Sephora! I love that store. It is so much fun. I got this concealer that I have heard so much about, its Boi-ing from Benefit! I am loving it already!

I had a perfect weekend with my Sissy! I adore her husband more than anyone could know but it was really fun to just have her this time!

I also wanted to ask ya'll to keep my Daddy in your prayers this week. The doctors have found a little spot on his lung and they are not sure what it is. He is not a smoker but they are still wanting to check on it. This morning he is having a biopsy and we should know the results on Thursday. Please pray for peace because he is very concerned and that they spot is absolutely nothing.
Thanks everyone! I hope you all have a great week!

And The Winner Is . . .

SETH AARON!! I was so glad that he won! I do enjoy Emilio's designs as well but Seth Aaron did put on the best show! Were you happy with the Seth Aaron's win? Who was your favorite?

These are my favorites of Seth Aaron's!

I do love these of Emilio's but he needed more like the last dress!

I also watched the NFL Draft last night as was pleasantly surprised when Mr. Tebow went in the first round. With not many teams looking for QB's it was predicted that he would not go until at least the 2nd round. Now I do LOVE the Colts and Peyton Manning, but . . .

I will be making room in my heart now for the Broncos because of this gentleman!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Happy Earth Day

Happy Earth Day Blog Buddies!

In celebration of this beautiful planet, Disney has created a new movie that comes out today! It is called Disney Oceans. It is similar to last years Disney Earth. Oceans premieres today and if you go and see it this weekend Disney will donate your ticket money to preserve the coral reefs in your honor! So of course Bunny and I will be going to see it at some point this weekend! We have snorkeled in Belize around the coral reefs and they are amazing!

But don't go and see the movie tonight because the Season Finale of Project Runway is on tonight! You all need to watch it so you can comment on my Fashion Friday blog tomorrow where I will be discussing it!! So who do you think/want to win? I am torn between Emilio and Seth Aaron. I would honestly be happy with either one. I guess I will just have to wait until I see what they put on the Runway!
Faith Hill will be the guest judge!

Hang in there it is almost the weekend!
