I thought it was such a beautiful song. But the part that moved me the most about it was the story. The lead singer Matt wrote this song for his wife and kids after she had sat him down and told him that she needed him to be the leader of their home more. She talked about how hard it was when he came home from traveling and he was disconnected from their family. Today also starts the first day of FCA Camp! I am so excited! The teams should be getting to the grove this afternoon. I cannot wait to see what God is going to do in their lives!!
I couldn't stop the tears the first time I heard that song either. I think all of us long for our husbands to be the leader and "warrior" for our families. You're right though...it is such a beautiful song and I had never heard the story behind it before.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know the story behind it and now I'm going to go watch the video! I'm sure that will make it all the more amazing. The song gives me chills without knowing the story!
