. . . I am fairly certain that given a Cape and a nice Tiara, I could save the world!

Top 2 Tuesday . . .

Favorite places in your house

1. My closet

I know what you think who actually likes their closet. However I have about 3 of them. One is a walking closet which holds most of my clothes. The second one is a step in closet that stores all my dresses and the last one is my favorite! It is my shoe closet. That's right and I love it!!

However, I would love to have just one gigantic closet that looked like this.

2. My bedroom

I don't have a current picture of it but I would love to redo it a little and have it look something like the picture below. I just think every bedroom should have a chandelier!

What are your Top 2?

Peace. Love. Stop.

This weekend was pretty amazing!
Friday night I went to a beautiful wedding. I have know the bride since we were 5. I am so happy for her to begin her life as a Mrs.
Saturday morning was the highlight of my weekend. I ran in the Ashley Scott Memorial 5K. I blogged about how I would be wearing pink, Ashley's favorite color, and a little surprise! We here are the pictures! Ashley loved to wear boa's and tiara's. She would even wear them while she taught class!!
So I borrowed the tiara visor from Bunny. She wore it in the Disney Princess Half.

I finished in my best time ever . . . 29 mins even which means I ran a 9.35 mile!!

I also finished 4th in my age range!!

Saturday and Sunday I spent some much needed time with Bunny and Sarah! They are the best friends in the world and I love them dearly!! So it was good to just talk and be there for each other!

How was your weekend?

A Little Friday Pick Me Up

We made it!! I am so happy to see Friday again!!

This morning all the girls at work decided that we needed a little pick me up. So we pitched in and bought some coffee, hot chocolate for me, and doughnuts! Doesn't it look delicious? It was exactly what I needed!

Last night I had another little happy. I went to a sporting goods store and bought some new running clothes for the race I am running this weekend. It is the Ashley Scott 5K. Her favorite color was pink so I got some cute new pink running gear and an extra little surprise but you will have to wait until Mondays post to see the pictures!

Here is Ashley's story.

Ashley Scott, a native of Bossier City, Louisiana, and a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, began teaching at Bolton High School in 2003 where she quickly won respect and admiration as an effective and creative English teacher.

She was found beaten to death on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 2006,. Her husband Jeffrey Scott was convicted and sentenced to 25 years in prison. The 5K raises funds for domestic violence victims programs in Shelby County.

If your interested you can register the day of the race from 6:45 am to 7:45 am or download the entry form.

If any of you live in the Memphis Area I would love to see you Saturday morning running along with me!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

The Color of October

With this month being Breast Cancer Awareness month everything is pink!

I will be running in the Race for the Cure Oct 30th. But if running isn't your thing you can support by getting some funny new shirts.

And for the guys.

They even have them for kids.

And the NFL is showing their support this month! There is nothing funnier than watching these big guys play football in pink gear!!

Which shirt was your favorite?

Best Invention!!

How many of you love heels?

I sure do!! I wear them all the time. I feel like if you put on a pair of stilettos then it just makes your outfit. Plus they always give you the little push when you need some happy in your day.

However, do you ever end up just slipping them off? Or carrying a pair of flats in your purse for later when you feet feel like your have put them in a blender?

Well Dr. Scholls has the solution. About a year ago he came out with the insoles for pumps. But now he has created something even better. They are called fast flats. They come in a little zippered bag that will fit in your purse and you just pull it out and slip on some flats!

Is anyone else as amazed at this idea? I think its brilliant!

Personal Best

This weekend felt amazing!! Fall was finally here but will it stay? Who knows. By the end of the week we will be back in the mid 80s. :(

Friday night I got to bed early since I knew that Saturday was going to be busy. I woke up and went to work the Boys and Girls Club kids fair for the the Junior League. I was there for three hours. It was bright and sunny but not too hot. I was definitely exhausted when I left but I needed to get my miles in so I went to the gym and biked 2 miles.

Saturday night the girls and our Mama's had one of our mother/daughter nights. We ate dinner at Chili's and then we were going to go and see You Again but they had switched the times on us! However, they had a special showing of "Life As We Know It". It comes out this weekend and I totally recommend it!!

Sunday was of course church and then a bridal shower for Janet. Her wedding is November 13 so it is coming up soon. Which means that I need to get my dress in to be altered!!! That evening I went for a run, I needed to run 5 miles. I was so happy because my average time per mile was 9.45!!! A Personal Best!! I was running around the ball field so I stayed after to watch a game with Bunny. Hopefully in time for the St. Jude Half I will be running a 9 min mile!!

Hope you all had a great weekend!!
