. . . I am fairly certain that given a Cape and a nice Tiara, I could save the world!

Wishful Wednensday . . . Easter

'I wish' .... I could re-live one Easter memory from my childhood, and it would be . . . Any Easter when I was little.

I know its a cop-out to not pick just one but I love Easter! It is my second favorite holiday. I have so many wonderful Easter memories. Every Easter my sister and I would get a new dress, a tradition I still keep up. I love when I see little girls in what is clearly a special Easter dress. You know the one that has extra ruffles.

Growing up we also knew Easter was special because we would get new white patin leather mary janes. And my Momma, being the good southern woman that she is, would not let us wear our new white shoes until Easter morning.

But what I most remember and cherish from Easters past is that I was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and have parents who took me to Church not only on Easter but every other Sunday as well. I learned at a young age the true meaning of Easter! I learned that the Easter Bunny is fun and coloring eggs are great but that what we truly celebrate is the amazing resurrection of Christ!
This is the actual empty tomb!

I hope you all remember what Easter is all about this year. And that the Bunny visits you too!

I love to get these in my basket! Yum!!

Good-Bye Little Swimmer

I have some sad news.

Yesterday as I was leaving work I noticed my fish was not swimming. I tapped on his tank and he did not move. I began to get worried because that always makes him angry and he swims around like he can't believe that I have touched his tank. However, this time there was nothing.

Josh, the fish, was given to me about a year ago by Bobby when we just started dating. He was Tiger blue of course! We appropriately named him Josh, in honor of Josh Pastner! Everyone at my office also loved him. We had a very sweet service with a burial at sea.

Josh was a trooper. He held on as long as he could and he made it through tournament time!

We will all miss you Josh!

On a more upbeat note . . . today has started off wonderfully! I love when my morning is amazing lets just hope it continues!! I don't have a ton of issues going on at work so I shouldn't be frazzled (Candice loves when I say that). I then plan on having a relaxing lunch break with some much need reading. I don't know where I am going to go yet but I will definitely be leaving work! If you sit at your desk while on lunch you still have people asking you questions since your there. haha!!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Well Rested Weekend

Hello Friends!

I had a very relaxing weekend and it was much needed! Friday night I just went home read and went to bed, it was fabulous. I slept in Saturday morning and then just uploaded my cruise pictures to Facebook.

Saturday night Bunny and I went to what I am sure was the senior citizens dinner hour! haha! We decided to go and see Remember Me and we did not want to be out late so we ate dinner at 5:30 so we could see the 7:30 movie. I know we are acting like we are pushing 65 instead of 25 but we had church the next morning and just didn't want to be tired! haha! We ate at PF Chang's because I had been craving it, and it was delicious! During dinner we decided that we didn't want to see what we were sure was a depressing movie so we switched and saw Hot Tub Time Machine. It was so funny! I am sure that everyone at work is going to yell at me for not seeing Remember Me! I will I promise!

Of course we had to continue to check the score of the Kentucky game during the movie! And we saw that Kentucky lost to West Virginia! I grew up loving the Wildcats but I just cannot support Cal!

Sunday was church and then lunch with Lauren. I enjoy whenever I get to see her. She has been super busy with wedding stuff lately, of course. Then I had to have my Sunday afternoon nap.

It was a good peaceful weekend! However, I am looking forward to this week so much!! Bobby will be getting into Memphis Wednesday night, fingers crossed since last time did not work out so well. He will be here for both his birthday and Easter! I can't wait to see him! My beautiful sissy and best brother in law will also be coming in this weekend for Easter and I can't wait to see them!! It's been too long!!

So this week just can't come along any sooner for me!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

You Don't Have To Win The Crown To Be The Queen

Thank Goodness It's Friday!! I am ready for the weekend! This weather is seriously playing with my allergies. I am now on hour 52 of allergy meds. Yuck!! So I have big plans for sleeping and trying to fight the pollen this weekend!

Last night was very sad for me on Project Runway, Anthony was out! This is the first time that I was not happy about who got sent home (I would have picked Mila or Jonathan). I agreed with the judges that he does keep giving us the same style dress but with different designs but I just loved him! He was so funny. I seriously laughed out loud while watching him. I think he is an amazing designer and that he has a wonderful future ahead of him. We will miss you Anthony, but we are excited to see what you do next!! Just remember your favorite saying "You Don't Have To Win The Crown To Be The Queen"!

Here is my favorite dress of Anthony's! It was on the cover of Marie Claire's March issue!

Now for my favorite picks! I liked both looks because both desingers stayed true to their style and still gave the judges what they were looking for with the prints. Seth Aaron's design is a little to rocker for me but is it wonderfully made and very detailed! The best thing about Emilio's design is the color. I like the bold bule!

Hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend!

Rainy Days and Thursdays

So I know that is not how the song goes but it is fitting for today. If April showers bring May flowers then what about March showers? Do they just bring April showers? I have been sporting my rain boots lately. I am ready to put those back in the closet and brake out the strappy heels! Hurry up Spring!

These are the rain boots I wish I had, I love you Burberry!

One thing that I do love about all the rainy weather is the excuse to snuggle up with a hot cup of tea and a good book. I am down to only 8 books left on my nightstand (except I have added three to get after I finish those, pretty sure I need to slow down, haha)! The next book up is Karen Kingsbury's latest, Take 4! I have been waiting for this book for too long. If you have not read any of her books I recommend starting with her Baxter Family series, the first book is called Redemption. They are amazing!

I hope ya'll stay dry! And maybe soon we might see some flowers! ;)

Wishful Wednesday. . . Handbag

'I wish' .... I could afford either one of these Dooney and Bourke handbags without putting a dent in my pocketbook!

I know these are not as expensive as some of ya'lls picks but I just love Dooney! I picked three that I would love to have.

I like the style of this one. Plus I think pink would be cute for the summer!

The giraffe look is great for the fall. I like that it is animal print but without being cliche and being zebra print.

This is just cute and would an adorable beach bag or casual bag! I love the ducks on it!

If you want to play along just hop over to The Seattle Smith's! What handbag would you want?

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I Love My Shoes

I am sure you all are aware of my deep love of shoes! I have blogged about it several times so if you don't know about it then it is because you don't read my blog enough (shame on you)! haha!

I also have to be organized at all times. So combining those to passions results in my blog for the day!

I have a closet just for my shoes. They are boots first then shoes that are color coded and then sub coded by style. For example, closed toes to peep toe to sandals to strappy shoes. And flip flops last because they aren't real shoes. There are also decorations that make me smile everytime I open my closet! My Momma got me a new one which also help to make this the topic today.

Here are some pictures of my closet!
You can tell where they shoes are that I am wearing today. Notice the big hole! haha!

These are my decorations! I find that they are all true!

I couldn't get a good picture of it but but I also have my gym bag hanging in there on a hook that says: "Kick up your heels! Celebrate life!".

Are ya'll as weird about your closets or is it just me?

Back to Work

How was everyones weekend? I was not ready to come back to work this morning but for some reason the government does not want to pay me for just being me?! Imagine that?!

I did have a wonderful weekend though. Friday night Bunny and I watched the last game of the Tigers season. They did a great job this year with Cal taking off and leaving us high and dry (yes I am still bitter). Next year is going to be amazing! After all we do have the number one recruiting class!!

After the game we had dinner and then saw The Bounty Hunter! It was really cute! The perfect date movie because is has the love story for us girls and then action and a "who done it" plot for the fellas. However, I was not okay with the fact that to see this I had for fork out $10! Movie tickets just keep going up! Its crazy!

Saturday I went to a lovely shower for my friend Lauren, who is getting married on June 19th. She looked so happy! However, her and her fiance were robbed at gun point later that night so please say a prayer for them. They are a bit shaken up, of course!

Even though I was not ready to go back to work I am very much ready for this week! I finally got my knee brace off so today I get to SLOWLY begin working out again. I am so glad because I have felt lazy these last 3 months!

I also will be getting my devotional book in this week. I have mentioned in an earlier post that Bobby and I were going to start a Bible study together and now that he is all settled in we are going to start it this week! YAY! Bobby has also started visiting some churches down there in Melbourne so please pray that he finds the one God is calling him to! I just love how my man loves Jesus! I will keep ya'll up to date on the Bible study!

Happy Monday Girls!

Fashion Friday

Is anyone else excited that it is Friday? Maybe it is because I was on vacation last week so I have not gotten back into the groove of work, but I could not be more ready for the weekend!

Last night was Project Runway! The designers were teamed up and had to create a day and night outfit based on an assigned area of New York.

These two teams were my favorites!

Anthony and Maya had Chinatown.

The day look was very sophisticated! I love the red details on the skirt. It represents Chinatown but without being cheesy.

This dress I LOVE!!! It is slightly avant garde but still wearable. The inspiration was a paper dragon in a window display. Anthony always makes dramatic dresses.

Emilio and Seth Aaron had Harlem.

The day look is very Urban. I love that Seth created a whole look, even a hat. The look is completely Harlem.

Emilio made a vintage 40's Harlem look. It looks vintage but with a modern look with the yellow under the dress.

These designers are the top four, no doubt!!

I have a fashion question that I need help with. This is my Easter dress. I love it but I don't know what color shoes to wear with it. This is going to be a hard color to match. I do have some nude strappy shoes that just blend into my skin tone so I was thinking about wearing those. Any thoughts would be great!!!

I also want to cheer on my Tigers! They play Ole Miss tonight for the second round of the NIT tournament! Go Tigers!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Wishful Wednesday . . . Lottery

'I wish' .... I could win the lottery REAL soon, and I would buy vacation homes!

I love traveling so I would want to buy a beach house so I could enjoy some sun anytime I wanted. I would also buy a townhouse in New York. Candice told me about her idea for this because she goes to New York a lot and loves it. I have never been but I love brodway shows so I would buy a house there so I could go and see the shows when ever!! I also would probably throw in a new car for me as well. I would love to get a Lexus SUV. Of course all these things would come after giving to my church and some missions that are close to my heart, JIFF and FCA camps for inner city schools!

Last week I missed Wishful Wednesday since I was in the middle of the ocean but it was so fun I thought I would just write about it this week!

'I wish' I could wear a wedding gown similar to Jessica Simpson's dress on my wedding day!

Jessica's dress we beautiful! It was full with out looking like she was a giant cotten ball. haha! The dress was all lace, which I am in LOVE with. I think it is just gorgeous!

And now that I have my wedding dress my next wish is coming true on April 19th! I am going to meet the man that I am going to marry! haha! This one right here!

My parents both went to Union University in Jackson TN so they got invited to a Golf and Gala event where Tim Tebow is the keynote speaker! I am so excited!! Momma and I bought our tickets last night. I am not sure if I will actually get to meet him, I kinda doubt it but I am still really really excited!

If you want to play along in Wishful Wednesday check out Kelsey's blog!
